Trinity blitz for 'Bernies! |
In a performance that had their supporters struggling for superlatives, Trinity led St Bernards at every change, and by 85 points at the final siren. In doing so, they vaulted over both St Bernards and Old Scotch on the ladder with two rounds of the competition season to play. The Reserves however were never in the hunt while the Under-19s went down by 18 points to second-placed Old Essendon after Riley McDonald kicked six goals. For details click here. |

Trinity shows true colours! |
The season is over for the Thirds but it was a big day for all other Trinity teams, all playing at home, and all victorious against higher rated opposition. The Seniors and Reserves accounted for Collegians by 19 and 33 points respectively but the Under-19s caused the biggest upset by downing third-placed Ormond who last week inflicted Old Ivanhoes first defeat for the season by 14 points. Effervescent Jack Osborn (pictured) was among the best for the Seniors. For details, click here. |

Front-running De La jump Trinity! |
On a cold and windy Waverley Park, De La Salle was never headed and ran out comfortable winners by 37 points. While Trinity outscored De La in the second half, recovery from a 51 point deficit at the long break was never really a prospect. Brendan Iezzi (pictured) was again Trinitys best player and is at long odds-on for Trinity's B&F. The Reserves with Scott McPherson setting the example put in a spirited performance against likely finalists but went down by 60 points. The Thirds and Under-19s however had comfortable victories at home, by 27 points over Kew and 58 points over Old Mentonians respectively. For details click here. |

Sluggish Trinity outlasts Haileybury! |
On an unusually heavy Daley Oval but in ideal weather conditions, Trinity recovered from a slow start to outlast Haileybury by 31 points. Bolstered by the inclusion of players returning from injury, the Reserves too had a comfortable victory. But close results went against Trinity in other matches, the Thirds going down to Caulfield by a solitary point and the Under-19s to Bulleen Templestowe by six points. For details click here. |

Under-19s big winners as Seniors take it easy! |
While A Section had a bye this weekend, and the Seniors and Reserves relaxed and prepared for the long run home, it was business as usual for the Thirds and Under-19s. At Bulleen, the Thirds were no match for St Bernards, while at Melbourne High School oval, the Under-19s outscored their opponents in every quarter and won by 60 points. Dayne Hoffecker (pictured) was among the best for Trinity. For details click here. |
