On a cold and showery day at a poorly-grassed and muddy Toorak Park, Old Xaverians took the early lead and were never headed winning by 45 points.  Missing Kristian Butler and Andrew Hore-Lacy due to injury, and Alex Hooke (pictured) to overseas travel, Trinity tried hard all day but were ultimately overwhelmed by a virtual full-strength Xavs.  The Reserves put in a shocker against their undefeated opponents and failed to trouble the scorers, while the Thirds received a forfeit from bottom side St Bedes Mentone but rued the loss of a percentage-boosting opportunity.  The Under 19s at home went down to Oakleigh by 53 points.  For details click here. 

Back at Bulleen for only the third time this season, a rejuvenated Old Trinity comprehensively accounted for Old Scotch.  After a blistering first half and even team performance that saw  Trinity lead by 74 points, and Scotch goalless, Trinity ran out comfortable winners by 64 points.  David Beardsley (pictured) was judged best for Trinity.  No joy however for the Reserves who lost by 80 points, and the Under 19s who went down to undefeated ladder leader, Old Ivanhoe.  The Thirds however enjoyed a comfortable victory by 100 points over Old Scotch.  For details, click here. 

An impressive, hard working Old Brighton outfit was too strong for an injury riddled Old Trinity at Brighton Beach Oval today, winning by 66 points.  Still without captain Andrew Ramsden, Trinity's stocks slumped further with the late withdrawal of key forward Jack Healy (pictured). Brighton had a good day at Trinity's expense as their Reserves were never threatened, and their Thirds won by a solitary point rushed as the siren sounded.  The Under 19s were Trinity's only cause for celebrations beating Bentleigh at Bulleen by 72 points to remain in contention  for the top four.  For details, click here.

“Christmas in Winter” is the theme for the next home game luncheon.  The Seniors and Reserves play Old Scotch and will look to atone for narrow losses in the first round.  This is the luncheon highlight of the season.  A magnificent repast prepared by the inimitable Neil Weatherson is assured.

This is a new addition to the social calendar and we can’t give too much away about it.  Suffice to say, it involves six of our finest players in roles that may cause their mothers to disinherit them!  An unforgettable experience is assured, especially for the ladies.  At the school P&F Hall from 7:30 pm.  A great venue to celebrate victory over Old Scotch earlier in the day.  Bookings not required.  Diarise now!

Kept in the game to half-time by six goals from Andy Cultrera (pictured), Trinity blew it apart with an 11-goal third quarter, and ran out comfortable winners at McKinnon Reserve by 40 points.  Cultrera finished with eight goals while Jack Healy and Tom Eckersley finished with four and three respectively. The Reserves also came out on top by 40 points while the Thirds were too strong away for Emmaus St Leos.  The only blemish on the Old Trinity copybook for the day was a meritorious seven point loss by the Under 19s to undefeated Old Essendon at PEGS.  For details, click here.   

The return of captain Andrew Ramsden was not enough to compensate for the further loss of key players, Brendan Iezzi  (to VAFA representative duty), David Burrows and Scott Krakouer, as Old Scotch hung on to win by seven points at Camberwell Sports Ground.  Tom Healy returned from long term injury and showed good touch as the Reserves went down by 70 points, while an undermanned Thirds team was no match at home for the ladder leader, University Blacks.  To round out a bleak day, after trailing by only 19 points at the final change against the top team Old Ivanhoe, the Under 19s losing margin had blown out to 58 points by the final siren.  For details, click here.
