After retiring as captain of the Reserves side at the end of the 2006 season, Steve Bladeni will continue his involvement with the club as Assistant Reserves Coach.  His announcement was warmly welcomed by Seniors Coach Phil Gaut who said “It is important for the future of the Club that we develop coaches from within our own ranks”.

Steve retired from the playing arena after 141 games with the Club.  He first played in 1995 and was a member of the B Grade premiership side in 1996.  Steve missed several seasons due to work and injury but is renowned for his fearless attack on the footy.  In more recent years he has been captain of the Reserves and an inspirational leader of our younger players.

 Welcome back Steve - that you will continue to make your positive attitude and experience available is a huge plus for the Club.
