The match report of the senior game against St. Bedes / Mentone Tigers.

This will not be a normal match report after a game. It would be quite easy after a game like this one to take a negative attitude towards the events that unfolded. Full credit must go to St.Bedes / Mentone Tigers as they totally outplayed us. However for us to move forward it’s important for me to highlight some positives that occurred.

1) The form of Brendan Iezzi was most pleasing to play his best game for the 2008 Season. We (as a match committee) hope that this can continue this into this weeks game against Uni Blues and beyond. Well done Brendan!

2) Sam Leetham showed yesterday that he has ability to make significant contribution to the teams output. Make this a regular occurrence and you can own yourself a regular spot in the 1's.

3) Brett Gatehouse has proved to be the recruit of the year so far. His smarts when in control of the footy were very good yesterday and so far during the season to date. In yesterdays game his willingness to lead up to create an option was great.

4) Dayno tried to create run and showed he also has the aptitude to play at this level. Looking forward to seeing you playing more games in the 1's in the coming weeks.

5) Jack Osborn and Richard Troon never say die attitude was clearly evident to all peoples who saw the game. Thank you for your efforts.

With footy another week another challenge presents itself. Are we good enough to regroup and win at the Uni next week ... No doubt at all! Let’s get on the track Tuesday night and prepare professionally for this game. With the results from yesterday’s games we are only percentage of fourth place. Rise to challenge!
