Following the appointment of Brett Chandler as senior coach, the rest of the panel for season 2008 has been finalised. President-elect / Selection Panel Chairman Dyson Hore-Lacy expressed his delight with the final selections, and gratitude to all who participated in the process.
Senior Coach: Brett Chandler see separate article.
Senior Assistant: Anthony Goodwin. Anthony comes to us from Doncaster FC where he was reserves coach and a previous six times best and fairest winner.
Senior Assistant: Matt Embling. Matt comes to us from Glen Eira FC where he was reserves coach and senior assistant. Prior to that he played and coached at Rockbank FC. He is also a level 2 accredited coach.
Reserves Coach: Adam Andrews. Adam makes a welcome return to the club after a distinguished playing career with Old Trinity, which included a senior B&F in 1998 as well as two senior premierships in 1996 and 1999. Adam is really keen to lift the profile of the reserves in 2008.
Under 19 Coach: Ray Leetham. Ray comes to us from Caulfield Grammarians where he coached their under 19s. Prior to that Ray coached at Old Scotch, Glen Iris JFC as well as spending two seasons with Oakleigh Chargers in their recruiting department. In 2007 he was named Assistant Coach in the VAFA Under 19 Section 2 Team of the Year.
Club 18 Coach: Craig Heaven. A popular member of the club and committee, Craig will again have charge of this important team. After a preliminary final appearance in 2006, Craig is determined to do better in 2008 than the 8th place in 2007.
In another coup for the Club, Phil Stevens former CEO of the VAFA and former Geelong and St Kilda star, will join the Club as a coaching advisor and senior forward scout. Is there anyone else who knows the amateurs better? Phil also coached Sandringham and at one stage Old Haileybury. |
