History
Although we entered the Victorian Amateur Football Association in the early part of the last century, at one stage joining with Old Haileybury, Old Trinity as we now know it was not formed until 1954.
Despite several finals appearances, we remained in E Section for 15 years. In 1965 we fielded a Reserve team and in 1967 won the first of three consecutive Reserve premierships, followed by our first Senior premiership in 1970 in D Section.
In 1974 we won our first Senior B Section premiership and remained in A Section for three years finishing seventh, fifth and ninth. With our sixth change of home ground in 25 years, our nomadic existence continued in 1978.
By the early 80s we had been relegated to E Section but gradually recovered to win the D Section premiership in 1985. We returned to B Section in 1987 and have been in A or B Sections ever since.
The 90s saw us swing between A and B Sections winning Senior B Section premierships in 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1999. And during that time we returned to our natural home at Bulleen!
We have been in A Section since 2000, with a small glitch in 2009 when we returned to B Grade for a season and despite losing the Senior preliminary final in 2004, it remains our best-ever year.
Our Under 19s commenced in 1989 immediately wining the Section 3 premiership, and were Section 2 runners-up in 1991. Despite not fielding in 1994 and 1995 we won the Section 2 (Red) premiership in 1997 and were a Section 2 finalist in four of the next five years. In 2008 we won the Northern Section 1 premiership and played in the premier division for the first time in 2009.
A non-VAFA affiliated Social XVIII was formed in 1972 and disbanded in 1976. In 1995 we entered a team in the VAFA Club XVIII competition but withdrew after one season. Following the lead of most other A Section clubs, we re-entered a team (aka the Thirds) in 2000, were runners-up in Section 3 in 2004 and preliminary finalists in 2006.
